An FKM or silicone elastomer core completely covered with a seamless FEP or PFA fluoropolymer sheath — superior chemical resistance with the elasticity of a rubber core.
An encapsulated O-ring puts a seamless FEP or PFA fluoropolymer jacket over an elastomer core. The jacket takes the chemical attack; the core provides the elastic recovery the jacket cannot. The result is near-PTFE chemical resistance with the seating force of a rubber O-ring.
